Migration
Moving to Confluence Cloud from Server or Data Center, or switching from another HTML macro app? HTML Macro+ handles both, in two steps.
1. Pages keep rendering
As soon as HTML Macro+ is installed, migrated pages that use the old HTML, Macro Toolbox HTML, HTML Include and RSS Feed macros display their content again instead of "Error loading the extension!". Nothing to configure, apart from whitelisting the domains that HTML Include and RSS Feed load from.
2. Convert them into editable macros
Legacy macros render, but Confluence's editor can't open them. Convert them into regular HTML Macro+ macros:
| You want to convert | Use | Who |
|---|---|---|
| One macro, or every macro on one page | The Migrate to enable editing bar on the page | Anyone who can edit the page |
| Every page in a space, including macros from Appfire, Narva and Macro Toolbox | The Migrate tab in the app settings | Site administrators |
Server/Data Center macros: migrate from the page →
Before you start
- Approve the app update to v1.2.0 or later under Settings → Apps → Manage apps. Migration needs the read permissions added in that version.
- Every migrated page gets a new version, so any change can be undone from Page history.
- Pages with unpublished edits are skipped. Ask the editor to publish or discard their draft first.
