Simple Checklist for Jira
Checklists in every Jira issue, with required items that hold the workflow until the work is done
Add a checklist to any Jira issue: sections, owners, due dates and items marked Required, Normal or Optional. A workflow validator keeps an issue from moving on while required items are open, templates add your Definition of Done to new issues, and JQL finds every checklist still in progress.

Why a checklist belongs on the issue
Most teams have a Definition of Done, but it lives in a wiki page nobody opens at the moment an issue moves to Done. Steps get skipped, and nobody notices until a release goes out without its security review.
Simple Checklist puts the steps on the issue itself. Mark the ones that matter as Required and add the checklist validator to your workflow, and Jira won't let the issue move on until they're done.
What Simple Checklist for Jira does
On every issue
A checklist panel with sections, progress and a done/total badge in the issue's glance
Paste a list
Each pasted line becomes an item; # starts a section and - [x] imports as done
Owners and due dates
Assign items to people and set due dates, with overdue items highlighted
Workflow validators
Block a transition until required items, or all items, are done
Templates
Save checklists as templates and add them to new issues by project and issue type
JQL fields
Search with checklistProgress, checklistOpen, checklistRequiredOpen and more
Jira Automation
Add items, complete items or apply a template from any Automation rule
Items to sub-tasks
Turn any item into a sub-task, linked back to the checklist
Activity and statuses
A history of every change, and custom item statuses set by Jira admins
