Simple Checklist for JiraGetting Started with Simple Checklist for Jira
Simple Checklist for Jira adds a checklist to every Jira issue. Items can have sections, owners, due dates and a requirement, and a workflow validator can keep an issue from moving on until its required items are done. It runs entirely on Atlassian Forge, so your checklists never leave Atlassian.

Where to find it
| Where | What it's for |
|---|---|
| An issue → Simple Checklist | The checklist itself, with progress and the Activity tab |
| The issue's Activity section → Simple Checklist | The same checklist, next to comments and history |
| The right-hand column of an issue → Checklist | A done/total badge; red while required items are open |
| Jira settings → Apps → Simple Checklist | Templates, statuses, permissions, workflows and Automation (Jira admins only) |
Your first checklist
- Open any issue and find the Simple Checklist panel. If it isn't there yet, add it from the issue's Apps button.
- Type an item in Add an item and press Enter. Start a line with
#to add a section instead. - Paste a whole list to add one item per line.
- [x]lines come in as done, and a line ending in!is marked Required. - Tick the circle to finish an item, or pick a status from its menu.

An empty checklist offers your site's templates, so you can start from one with a click.
Next steps
- Quick start: a guided first ten minutes
- Features: everything the app can do
- Data and privacy: what the app stores and where
