Word Exporter for ConfluenceRelease Notes
1.0.0 (November 2026)
First release, coming soon to the Atlassian Marketplace
Export to Word
- Export a single page from the Export to Word link under the page title, with a preview of the document
- Export a page tree from the page's ••• menu (Apps → Word Exporter for Confluence), or a whole space from the app page
- One merged Word document with a shared table of contents and continuous page numbers, holding up to 500 pages, or Separate Word files (ZIP)
An editable Word document
- Headings use Word's heading styles, and in a merged export child pages are nested one heading level below their parent
- The contents page is a Word table of contents field, and page numbers are Word page fields
- Lists use Word numbering, tables are Word tables, and code blocks are shaded paragraphs in Consolas
- Images are embedded pictures; math formulas come through as pictures
- The watermark is Word's own, behind the text on every page and removable in Word
Templates
- Three templates to start with: Default, Report and Minimal
- Page setup, fonts and element styles, header and footer, page numbers, table of contents depth, watermark and page breaks before H1 or H2
- Ready-made cover pages, and a drag-and-drop cover designer with Title, Subtitle, Author, Date, Text, Logo, Image and Line elements
Background, scheduled and API exports
- Large exports run in the background inside Atlassian and wait in My exports
- Weekly or monthly schedules attach each run to an archive page and can @mention people, so Confluence emails them
- A REST API starts exports from scripts and CI/CD pipelines with an API token
For admins
- Settings for Templates, Exports & storage, Schedules, API and Usage
- Usage statistics: exports and pages per day, the outputs people choose and where exports start
