Export From Inside a Doc

You don't have to open the full exporter to export one doc. You can start an export from inside the doc itself. The exporter already knows which doc and workspace you're in, so there's nothing to pick.

Open the Export Dialog

Use either of these, anywhere in the doc:

• Add content menu: click the + beside an empty line, open Apps, and choose Export to Markdown
• Slash command: type /export-to-markdown on an empty line (typing /export or /markdown is usually enough to find it), and choose it

Export

The dialog shows the doc's name and workspace.

1. Leave Include attachments on to get a ZIP with the doc and its images, or turn it off to get just the .md file with the original image links. See Including Attachments.
2. Check the file name shown under the option. It's the one your browser will download.
3. Click Export. When it's done, click Close to go back to your doc.

The export uses the doc's saved content, and nothing is added to or changed in your doc.
