Getting Started

Markdown Exporter for monday.com exports the workdocs in a monday.com workspace to clean Markdown files. Pick the docs or folders you want, and download them as one ZIP with your folder structure and embedded images included.

What You Can Do

  • Export a single doc, a whole folder, or every doc in a workspace
  • Download everything as one ZIP that mirrors your workspace folders
  • Keep embedded images, saved to an attachments/ folder and linked locally
  • Convert headings, lists, checklists, tables, code blocks and quotes to Markdown

Where to Find It

The full exporter is a workspace app, so it isn't tied to any one board.

  1. Open a workspace in monday.com
  2. In the left-hand menu, open Workspace apps
  3. Select Markdown Exporter

To export just the doc you're working in, open it from inside the doc instead: click + on an empty line and choose Apps → Export to Markdown, or type /export-to-markdown. See Export From Inside a Doc.

How Your Data Is Handled

The exporter runs in your browser, inside monday.com. It reads your docs through the monday.com API using your own permissions, so it only sees docs you can already open. The ZIP is built in your browser and saved straight to your computer. Your content never passes through a server of ours.
