Questions

Why isn't my list rendering?

Some renderers need a blank line between a list and the paragraph above it, and a space after the marker: -Item is plain text.

How do I add space between list items?

Leave a blank line between items. This makes a "loose" list, which renders each item as its own paragraph.

How do I start a line with a dash without making a list?

Escape it with a backslash: \- not a list item.

Bullet list in Confluence

Markdown Macro+ renders ordered and unordered lists, and Markdown Importer turns them into Confluence bullet lists. Markdown Exporter exports Confluence lists, nested ones included, back to Markdown.
